We are excited to welcome Kate Walker to the Founders League--Kate, who oversees East Coast operations for McGrath│Power Public Relations, moved into a the coworking community this week! Kate is a terrific mentor and I know folks are going to be thrilled to have her in the community.
Kate, Partner & Senior Vice President at McGrath│Power Public Relations, has been supporting Betaspring companies for more than a year now as a mentor and visiting Providence frequently to give talks and work with companies. Last week--with the news that her bi-coastal commute twice a month is slowing down--Kate has joined the Founders League community and will be running a McGrath│Power office from 95 Chestnut Street!
Through her work at McGrath│Power Public Relations, a 30-year old Silicon Valley-based technology communications agency, she has built a national rep for being a top-notch communicator and strategist. Kate has a passion for great stories and has spent her career helping people to find and tell their own compelling stories to audiences ranging from general consumers to technical developers.
At M│P, Kate develops and provides hands-on daily management of a diverse client base ranging from telepresence technologies and solid-state drives to software-defined networking and consumer electronics interoperability standards. Her clients have included ADT Residential Security, Cisco, DLNA, EarthLink, McAfee, Mohr Davidow Ventures, RSA Security and the Open Networking Foundation. She has also helped countless start-ups reach their acquisition and growth goals.
In addition to her work at M│P, Kate has also held international PR leadership roles at Internet Security Systems (now IBM) and Borland Software Corporation (now Micro Focus), where she is credited with the elevation of their brands in the marketplace and creation of their global PR infrastructure.
Kate, we are SOOO happy to have you with us in Providence more frequently and are looking forward to introducing you to our Fall 2013 cohort in August!
