
DESIGNxRI announces the 2015 DESIGN WEEK RI schedule of events, featuring 34+ events in nine communities in Rhode Island. Focused on the impact of design and talent in the RI design community, the second annual DESIGN WEEK RI, taking place on September 16-27, 2015, features 11+ days of events and brings together nationally recognized speakers and local Rhode Island design super stars through tours, luncheons, talks, showcases, parties and more.
Registration for events is accessible through the event website. Events listed by type, location and design discipline include the Featured Speaker series, the Eat and Speak Lunch Series, the RI Design Hall of Fame, Partner Events, Design Conferences, a Design and Manufacturing Panel, a Statewide Maker Space Open House, and Other Happenings. The events happen in nine communities throughout Rhode Island, including Bristol, East Providence, Jamestown, Lincoln, Newport, Pawtucket, Providence, Warren and West Warwick.
Many events are free. Others range from $10 for an Eat and Speak luncheon to $65 for the Hall of Fame party. Design conference tickets and other happenings are sold separately.
DESIGN WEEK RI is organized by DESIGNxRI in partnership with Rhode Island School of Design, American Institute of Architects (AIA-RI), American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA-RI), AIGAri - the professional association for design, and A Better World by Design.
